Why Do Stretch Marks Look The Way They Do?

Every persons skin grows at different rates, and skin elasticity varies for everyone. This is the reason some women suffer more severely than others with stretch marks.

Increasing the elasticity of your skin, and promoting your body to stimulate the production of new skin cells is the key to healthier skin. The "tightness" felt on your abdomen, thighs, and breast during pregnancy will diminish, and you will be less likely to develop stretch marks.

As far as using any stretch mark removal cream or lotion is concerned it is very important to understand that the ones containing elastins and collagen are highly effective. These two are not just helpful in maintaining the elasticity of the skin but also are safe for usage as unlike other components of stretch mark creams they do not have adverse effects on skin's health and beauty.

After the stretch marks have been on the skin for a while, they change color from pink to white. Once the scars appear, they are permanent and difficult and expensive to get rid of.

Many women also develop stretch marks on their buttocks, thighs, hips, upper arms, lower back or breasts. These are the most commonly affected areas.
